Citizen-based Monitoring Program: Get your students or yourself involved at one of our volunteer monitoring sites across the watershed. Survey salmon habitat and count fish redds (nests). Training provided. E-mail tcwc@tryonfriends.org to get involved.

Restoration Mentor program: Become a Mentor to other watershed residents looking to improve their streamside habitat. Experience with gardening, native/invasive plants, or restoration helps but isn't required. E-mail tcwc@tryonfriends.org to get involved.

Who can volunteer: Everyone is welcome to volunteer. Work parties are an excellent choice for groups, people fulfilling community service obligations, and youth under age 18. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All work parties are drop-in, but groups of 6 or more must call ahead.

Come prepared: Work parties go forth rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
